Four area residents will be honored with Courage Awards during this year’s telethon benefiting the American Cancer Association airing April 8 and 9.



This year’s honorees are: 

Panther Valley coach Pat Crampsie

 Mike Harleman of Palmerton

 Mary Popeck and Daniel Popeck of Jim Thorpe

and Lehigh Valley resident Mary Ann Grant.



The presentations begin Saturday with Mary Ann Grant’s Presentation around 5PM


The other presentations are schedule to begin at 7:30 PM Sunday Evening.


The 24-hour telethon is available on channel 13 on Blue Ridge Cable and on channel 90 in the Tamaqua-Mahanoy City-Hazleton Service Electric Cable area and on channels 2 and 50 in the Lehigh Valley on the Service Electric Cable system.

The program originates at Penn’s Peak, the concert venue just outside Jim Thorpe. The public is encouraged to visit Penn's Peak during the program.
