Another Zoostock is in the books!  And once again it was a big success.  Thank you to all who participated and the volunteers who helped make this event a great day!

t’s time for the Zoo Crew’s 19th. Annual “Zoostock”! A free concert held on Labor Day.  This year’s event takes place on Monday, September 4th., from noon until 8 p.m. on the grounds of the Sports Zoo/Halftime Sports Bar at the West End of Lansford. (390 W. Snyder Ave.) 

It is held rain or shine and you are encouraged to bring a lawn chair or a blanket to enjoy the holiday while helping a great cause. 

There will be food, beverages, entertainment, souvenir t-shirts, souvenir cups and wristbands as well as activities for the kids.  Bring the entire family!

 

This year’s scheduled entertainment is:  Lyle Mantz, David Stone Ryan of The Johnny Cash Experience featuring Leighann Burke, The 3 of Us, Brad and Luke and friends, Camel Kick, The Local Boys, Toolshed Jack and Another Day Dawns.  Ann Marie Calabrese of Coolbreeze Imaging and host of “Stuck in the ‘80s” on Magic 105.5 WMGH will serve as emcee. 

 

Proceeds benefit the Carbon/Tamaqua Unit of the American Cancer Society.  Last year’s combined Zoo Crew events enabled the crew to present the ACS with $20,000 during the annual televised telethon.  Come on out and help them beat last year’s total!  For more information, to make a monetary donation, volunteer, or to donate a prize, please call 570.290.8089.
